BALEY FEATURE 123

To date, a total of 164 burial features (graves and structures related to mortuary practices) have been discovered during excavations at the Necropolis of Baley. Within these, over 450 ceramic vessels are found, a large number of zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figurines, and bronze adornments, which are representative of the burial rituals of the era.

Grave feature 123 contains two large funerary urns (amphoras), covered with bowls and a small urn, covered with a part of a vessel, containing the remains from two adults and two infants. Three small cups are placed near the urns and an ornithomorphic vessel, a bronze hair ring and a bone needle were placed inside the urns.
